Sea foam sea glass. MY FAVOURITE 💙
.
It's the sea, the waves, the most common colour I collect.
.
Looks absolutely stunning made into drop earrings with an open back to let the light pass through.
.
Also knows as Aqua, aquamarine, pale blue, and just looks so perfect after being naturally tumbled by the ocean and then shined with a tiny but of olive oil once plucked from the beach and cleaned up.
.
Sea foam sea glass would have originally been Coke bottles or vintage jars. And the colour would have been neutral. The glass making process involves sand and iron is often found in the sand. Iron in various quantities alters the colour from blue, sea foam and green.
.
Clear glass can also change to blue tones after being exposed to UV rays from the sun while being tumbled in the sea.
