**NEW COMMISSION**
You might have noticed a lack of jewellery notifications from me last week. This was not due to the snow but because I was busy creating this beauty of a project for a customer.
The sea glass was collected from Pollurian Cove near to the Lizard, Cornwall – a very special place for the commissioner and her family. I feel extremely privileged to be asked to help encapsulate these memories in silver for Clare to wear.
This necklace comprises of three green nuggets of sea glass bezel set in silver with an open back to let the light shine through. Then three coloured nuggets of sea glass bezel set in silver set on a solid, hand forged silver pebble with a single tiny pebble of 9ct gold. These nuggets are set along a 26″ silver belcher chain. Set along the chain, interspersed between the sea glass are hand forged hammered flat solid silver pebbles to add sparkle and balance to the piece. The necklace is finished with a hand forged, hammered t-bar and loop. The t-bar features 9ct gold hammered balls on the end of the t-bar.
This was quite a special project and I don’t think I took a breath during the whole process!
