How to drill holes in sea glass: A tutorial

beach drilling jewellery jewellery making new designs sea glass seaglass tutorial

I have been meaning to create a post about detailing the art of drilling holes in sea glass for a while now. I had hoped to create a video tutorial, but I only have two hands and no tripod so images will have to do until I get an assistant to hold the camera.

Tools you will need:

1.) Jam jar of water
2.) plus the lid
3.) Dremel drill (or equivalent rotary drill)
4&5.) Sea glass
6&7.) Diamond drill bits
8.) The correct sized mandrel for the drill and bit
9.) Tea towel or some thing to protect the work surface and to absorb the water.
